About Chesapeake Martial Arts in Ocean Pines, MD
Meet Kim Heaney
Owner and Chief Instructor at
Chesapeake Martial Arts in Ocean Pines
Our mission is to make our students more successful in life through the practice of Tae Kwon Do at our school. We do this by teaching our martial arts as a complete discipline (mind, body, spirit), which in addition to developing physical defense, encourages the formation of high personal standards and respect for fellow men and women.
Through our practice and teaching, we strive to produce individuals who are positive, respected, and contributing members of society.
Grand Master Kimberly Heaney, a 7th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, has been training the martial arts since 1983. She is the owner and chief instructor of Chesapeake Martial Arts. Master Heaney, a member of the AAU, has been inducted into the World Christian Martial Arts hall of Fame and the World Combat Arts Federation Hall of Fame (Instructor of the Year in 2001), participated in the Chuck Norris "Kick Drugs out of America" program, St. Jude's "Kick A Thon", and is active in the community programs with local schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Hospitals.
